If you have a phone or a camera this tour is for you!

The northwest of Ireland and the diamond county of Donegal has been a well kept secret.

This part of Ireland is like nowhere you've ever seen before. It's wild hollows, hills and bogs will enchant you and the endless islands and inlets and golden beaches will leave you in awe forever. From March to September and even October are great months in this region for photographers.
The changing and moving light will challenge and inspire you,
I mentioned the wind, well I love this wind. It carries the sweet smell of burning turf fires, the soft salt air from the Atlantic and the orchestra of the birds from the hills and the valleys. At the same time there's a silence to this place that carries you away when you sit in its silence. It's an area where one can allow the internal to be heard. Deep in the valley of the Poison glen where the land is lush and the trees rich green the dawn chorus is one to behold. It will speak to you. It's here in this wilderness that feels so far removed from modern life that one can listen and hear. Today we have so many questions but no time to ponder them. http://tinyurl.com/znht42m

Day 1
Leave Dublin airport 12.00 by minibus or fly to Carrickfin with Aer Lingus
On arrival at the hotel we'll drop off the bags and head to Cruit island for a stroll around and to gently get our bearings.

Day 2
We'll walk some bog, discover abandoned houses, lakes, secret woods and the poisoned glen. I'll tell you the legend only when you've booked.
Sunset is always an option so an early dinner and then into the bus for a zen sunset looking out onto the broad Atlantic.

Day 3
A drive in the mountains and down into the valleys of the Poisoned Glen
We'll find some great vantage points to shoot mount Errigal from along the way. I will as always go out of my way to get off the beaten track to where only the goats and sheep dare go. On the way to Glebe house we'll visit the abbey of St Colmcille.

We'll go and discover the beaches of Magheragallon and Magheroarty and Bloody Foreland http://www.welovedonegal.com/magheroarty-beach.html

Day 5
My favourite day and two of my fav places Fanad and Horn Head. The route we take depends on the mood of the day and how early we get out of bed.

This is the wild Atlantic way at it's best. The wild and rugged coastline and the salt laden breeze will carry you away. The light over the land and sea will cast it's spell and you'll be hooked forever. I'll say no more than…it's magic

Day 6
It's a tough one. Saying good bye after an adventure like this is never easy but I always have kleenex on hand. We leave the hotel at around 10.00 and head for Dublin or Carrickfin airport. To conclude and make sure there's no doubt left on your mind you will be transported in comfort to and from your arrival points and be lodged in comfortable hotel accommodation throughout. Your comfort is important to me so we will be staying in hotels with great food, music and craic. *Glebe house and gallery visit is included if open on the day. Refreshments and snacks are always available on my tours. Lunch will be taken on the road and dinner in the hotel at your own expense. All you should do is relax, listen and absorb the special energy of this region. You will leave having learnt new skills, and how to create of fine art images.
A 25% deposit is required to reserve your place.
